TADE SPACE's phylosophy
TADE SPACE is a Design Studio based in Groningen (NL).
Welcome to TADE SPACE, where we specialise in designing wonderful and charming interior design furniture with a focus on sustainability. Our mission is to create products that not only captivate your eyes but also evoke strong emotional connection. When you interact with our furniture, you’ll experience it with all your senses – from the sight of its beauty to the touch of its textures and even the subtle scent that emanates carefully crafted by us to match the personality of object. At TADE SPACE, we prioritise not only the final results of our designs but also the entire process of creation. We are deeply committed to respecting the environment and embracing sustainability at every stage. We incorporate the principles of Circular Economy, using recycled materials whenever possible. For instance, we repurpose “meer-paalen” (poles originally used in the Netherlands’ lakes and channels) . By harnessing materials from “re-use,” each piece of furniture carries its own unique history, making every product a one-of-a-kind work of art.
We take pride in our dedication to environmental preservation. Most of the materials we use as sustainable as possible, ensuring that our furniture has a minimal impact on the planet. Additionally, we employ tools to measure the carbon footprint of our products throughout the entire chain, from design to production and even delivery when feasible. By monitoring and optimising our processes, we strive to minimise our ecological footprint and contribute to a greener future.
Our commitment extends beyond the environment; we genuinely value the individuals involved in creating our furniture. We actively seek out local artisans and ensure that all workers involved in the production process are not just satisfied but genuinely happy with their work. We empower them to develop their skills, fostering a sense of ownership not only in the making but also in the design of our furniture.

TADE SPACE's history
Originally founded in London as a Limited Company in 2019.
Thanks to lucky opportunities Stefano and Arnaldo, further founders of the company, met in London in 2017. In a 12 millions metropolis they were neighbours and, of course, they didn’t know each other. They met thanks to fortunate circumstances and since the beginning the boundaries of their roles (for Arnaldo as designer, and for Stefano as carpenter) were evidently… foggy. But the mixed background of their experiences worked as rich soil. Ideas flourished spontaneously. When Arnaldo was flying high in the iper-uranium of abstract ideas, Stefano was bringing him down to Practicalities. When Stefano was indulging in vituosistic detailing Arnaldo there to wipe away the excess. More solid projects came. Step by step but incredibly quickly they realised the great potential they have.
One eye pointed to the future, one pointed to traditions. In 2019 the company was founded.
Some product were born (designed and produced)
But not long after, unfortunate family circumstances forced Arnaldo to move first to Italy (January 2020) and therefore to Groningen (NL). Together with global circumstances, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and The Brexit, Arnaldo and Stefano collectively decided to quit the company as Limited. The studio, as it is with its logo and name, remained under Arnaldo control, though Stefano keeps having an external eye occasionally. After moving to Groningen (NL), Arnaldo struggled to find the right motivation and one full year was needed to have a flavour of Groningen (NL), settle down with the whole family and start again.
2021 Across the winter a new encounter. Giulia Carpeneto: Architect from Genoa (It) has joined the Studio adding her experiences and sensitivities.
By the end of the year, a very difficult year as it has been for everybody, the first products of the new TADE SPACE Studio, based in Groningen, have been made: first draft of Meditation Stool finished.
- The collaboration between Giulia and Arnaldo is really fruitful. Some new products come alive, and this is due to their differences but also to the common ground (professional language, and common background in Architecture). Eachone brings his, her own idea and the other is open to listen. Still struggling with management problems they finally found the solution: to include Cristina in the Team.
